FC Bayern - Bayer Neverkuzen

Even though this would be an evening match i started early at 8:30 because i wanted to visit my Grandpa in Munich again. I picked up the Pyro Brothers from Saarland near Mannheim and we had a relaxed journey until 20 km outside of Munich. The Autobahn did not have a speed limit for a very long time and i was driving fast. I saw a sign and let the car roll without realising that i was still driving about 150 in a 120 zone. But it was too late and i will get a nice picture of me in the next few weeks Well, those were the first 3 points for that day
I arrived at the Streetworkbus at aboout 2:15 were i soon found Beder and HP. After i saw some guys from Bochum and heard their stories from last night i knew why Gregor did not make it to the Streetworkbus at 2 But after 1 hour or so we were all united. Graham, Marco, Maxi, Mathias, Beder, Gregor, HP and four FCBWW members from Albania living in Switzerland. It was really nice to meet you guys, looks like we will see you more often now ! Only one was missing: Rickard. Rumours spread that Rickard stayed up all night to finish his hand-made whole stadium choreo to honour Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Why Rummenigge? Well thats another story you should ask him about Love you Rickard :*
But he also made his way in the Südkurve so the WW-Mob spent the time untill kick off with the usual immature, crazy but extremly funny stuff Unfortunately we had to discover that some WW members really need to take some extra lessons in flag-waving. Maybe Andy can help
The Südkurve started quite good and people were motivated and i guess you can call it a good support. Neverkusen was actually a little bit better than i expected them to be but their banners werent my cup of tea. They may be old and have a long history but the guest Sector in Fröttmanning is perfect for hanging up a huge flag like Hertha did. Anyway after struggling a bit the Team in Red demonstrated their current strength and the goal for Neverkusen was just way too late.
At the beginning of the second half the groups Schickeria München, Red Fanatic München and Inferno Bavaria honoured the Diffidati (people with stadium bans) with a huge Banner saying : Together against Stadium Bans, and holding up 3 smaller flags with their individual messages for their group members. When being in the stadium we also have to think about all those guys stading outside the stadium every match (some of are driving to more matches than we do!)! Diffidati con noi! The Banned Boys stand with us! Ausgesperrte immer bei uns!
All in all a nice Matchday

Mislim da je Gerd stavio tu sliku tamo negdje, al evo da ju ponovim tu - prosle godine se slicna "koreografija" koristila u Kup utakmici na finalu, zato je mozda neke zbunilo s proslom godinom. Ipak, slika je od ove godine.



Pitao sam ove iz Munchena jel znaju tko je hrvat sa zastavom i vele da ne znaju jer su oni bili "dolje", inace bi ga pitali i saznali ... jbg - neki ludak poput nas pretpostavljam

Augsburg - FC Bayern

So, for a different sort of match report....

On Friday night Henrik texted me and let me know there was a space in his car if I wanted to go and hang out with the others who didn't have a ticket, or maybe buy one if the opportunity arose. Naturally, I brought around €70 to spend on one if necessary, and went around asking for a spare.

Right when I was about to call it a day and head to a pub, I asked a group of guys in he parking lot if they had an extra and they motioned for me to follow them. Promising, I thought. I waited with them for 10 minutes, when a man in a black Mercedes SUV rolled up and parked in the "Vorsitzender" parking spot, got out, talked with the guy I was with, and handed over an envelope.

Next thing I know, I'm rushing through the VIP areas before we're stopped by Stefan Reuter, who talks with the three of us, even in English to me, before we're on our way to a private suite where there's a buffet set up and free beer on tap. This is how we spent the hour leading up to the match, before we head to our seats two rows behind Dreesen & some Audi representatives in the Tribüne.

Funny to say it, but talking with some real long-term Augsburg fans (they exist) and watching the match play out, I can't really say I was all that upset with the result; Bayern clearly didn't care about winning, Augsburg played better anyways, and their fans provided a really nice atmosphere (though our guys were louder until the final 20 minutes as FCA edged towards victory).

I offered repeatedly to pay for my ticket and they repeatedly refused, but I offered them the same experience should they ever want to come to a game of a team in Houston should they be there on business, since that's something I could actually deliver on.

To sum it up, maybe I'll never buy a ticket again and see if this happens every time but if this only happens once in my life, I'll consider myself a lucky guy. As fun as it is to stand and sing with the guys, I'm glad I got to take in a match this way just once, it made for a different perspective and some great pictures. Overall, though, I'd prefer to be in the Südkurve or the away block, but like I said, I'm glad I got to do this once.
